Pima Cotton, Peruvian Cotton, Cotton Peru - Hogartex

What is "Pima"?

Peruvian Pima cotton (gossypium barbadense) is recognized worldwide as one of the better cotton fiber quality by its special softness, resistance to time and washing, and its natural shine. The PIMA maintains its qualities for much longer than other cottons.

Pima cottonseed is originally from Peru. Surprisingly, we found handmade yarn PIMA formerly of 120 Ne.

Pima cotton was grown, spun and woven in Peru for thousands of years and it was the cotton our ancient cultures used to weave their colorful and wonderful sacred robes, which still remain intact and are true works of art that can be admired in our museums. The heirs of those spinners-who learned the art of weaving and embroidery from generation to generation, are the ones that now embroider the covers of our collections.

Hogartex, pioneered in the use of Peruvian pima to embellish the bedding, bath and table.
