What should I consider when buying a sheet?
Besides personal preferences like color and design, it is useful to watch the content of fiber, the fabric type and the number of threads.
Its duration and appearance after washing are other elements to consider.
What does "number of threads" means?
It's the number of threads woven throughout in one inch of fabric. If you are looking for soft and luxurious sheets, search for fabrics that have a greater number of threads.
The tighter the fabric is the more durability. In the high-quality sheets the number of threads is 300 or more. However, most sheets are 180 to 250 thread.
What are the different fabrics used to make sheets?
The most used material is cotton, but there are different qualities of
cotton fibers.
Pima cotton is the king of the fibers. It produces more long and silky
fiber, which is also the smoothest, strong and absorbent compared to
other cotton threads. Egyptian cotton is almost as luxurious. But in
the Egyptian cotton there are 4 grades from the best (downwards)
while in the Pima this does not happen. On Pima fiber there is only
premium quality. Both varieties created a sheet that gives a feeling
of comfort and durability whose texture improves with the years.

Cotton can be woven in a variety of styles and finishes. A satin fabric material produces a heavy, durable and lustrous. The polyester cotton mixture or linen twine, are popular because their care is easy and requires no ironing and dry quickly. The thing about these sheets is that when being use, they produce heat, scrape, and eventually they have balls. Wear them a few times and they look old.
How do I take care of my sheets?
If your sheets are made of 100% cotton, you should wash them in the washer with like colors and warm water. The dark cloth sheets should be washed separately the first time they are used and thus remove the excess dye that might have. When putting them in the dryer, use the warm cycle and avoid piling it with other clothes. This will reduce the wrinkles. Remove the sheets from the dryer while still damp, especially if they are 100% cotton- iron, stretch and fold them immediately. The use of fabric softeners is optional, because the cotton will be fine getting softer with time and usage. The sheets made from a mix of polyester and cotton, must be washed in the washer and put into the permanent press cycle when entering to the dryer.
How do I choose the correct measurement of sheets?
Start by checking the width, length and height of your mattress and then inquire as to the completion thereof. To enter the mattress easily locate your top sheet is at least 50 centimeters wide and 40 centimeters longer than your mattress, and in the case of moldable sheet -if it has elastic- must be 10 centimeters higher than the height of your mattress.
