About Us

One of the most precious legacies left to us by the pre-Hispanic Peruvian culture is its textile skill and dexterity.

The Pima fiber cotton - Gossypium barbadense -, is being used in Peru for about 2,500 years. This fiber was the raw material for the textile blankets of solid colors that were woven in ancient Pre-Inca cultures the ones that amazed the Spanish when they conquered Peru and even now they retain their beauty intact and are kept as treasures in Peruvian museums. 

In pre-Inca times Pima cotton was highly valued by the Lords therefore it was considered more valuable than gold, being that the main reason for enveloping the death royalty with woven Pima blankets, to give them the status they deserved. 

Hogartex deliver the same Peruvian Pima cotton but worked with high technology of 300 and 500 threads, and ensures the same length of time, besides the softness, shine, resistance to washing and good life that characterizes the Pima cotton. 

Our proposal is to offer our customers the opportunity to enjoy the softness, smoothness and freshness of this fiber, whereas the experience of the use of Pima cotton is a luxury that should not be restricted only to clothing.

Our products are made with 100% Peruvian Pima cotton; this cotton is much softer than common cotton. As a long-fiber cotton, its softness and natural shine give the feeling of silk, and yet offer freshness, which is unique to this cotton. 

That's why Hogartex decides to use it for making it's clothing line for the Home and make it accessible to the public because we believe that it is a luxury experience and worth the reward, in all the bedroom as the bathroom and the table.
